I've never understood the appeal of philosophy.
Don't get me wrong--I love being intellectual! I hope I am one myself! But just...arguing and discussing something that will have no right answer, and oftentimes not even agreeing on the definition of said argument just boggles me. The meaning of life? The grand purpose, or lack thereof of your existence? When is something truly "alive"? Do children have more negative aspects, or positive (today's topic of discussion in my Great Ideas class)?
I mean, I really respect people who love, and can understand and feel fufilled with this stuff, but I don't think I'll ever understand it. I, myself, would rather try to work towards something that has at least the possible promise of an answer.
Ah well. Not a big deal at all, just...something that's come up a lot since I came to college.
Now, off to nap and get my schoolwork done! :)
